![]() ![]() Should I be limiting A D's access? Should I remove the programme entirely? ![]() ![]() I know nothing of A D, don't know how to use it and what it is capable of doing. I imagined that my brother's friend would need to ask my permission before using Any Desk to look at my pc - is this right? Can I tell from the programme if he has used it in the past to look at my pc? If he was to use A D to look at my pc - what can he see? Just my system data? Or can he see everything - eg. While he was on the phone, he asked me if I was aware that there was a programme installed on my pc that gives remote access. This week I transferred some money from my bank account and got a routine call from the bank's security dept to check the transfer was genuine. At the time he mentioned that he had installed Any Desk programme on the pc, in case I had future problems and he could poss sort it remotely. Brother's friend who is a bit of a PC expert sorted my problem by installing new solid state hard drive and upgrading to Windows 10, etc. A year ago I had problems with my Acer Aspire desktop. ![]()
